Plank shoulder tap
Coreintermediaterepsno equipment
In a high (straight-arm) plank with the feet a little wider than the hips, one hand at a time lifts to tap the opposite shoulder and returns, while the hips stay level and do not rotate.
How to do it
- High plank: hands flat under the shoulders, arms straight, balls of the feet on the floor slightly wider than hip width; body straight head to heels.
- Shift weight slightly onto the left hand, lift the right hand and touch the left shoulder; the left hand and both feet stay planted and the hips stay square to the floor.
- Place the right hand back flat under the right shoulder.
- Repeat with the left hand tapping the right shoulder. Move slowly; alternate sides.
