Leg scissors (vertical)
Coreeasyrepsno equipment
Lying on the back with both legs straight and lifted a few centimetres off the floor, the legs move up and down past each other in a small, continuous scissor motion. The lower back stays pressed into the floor and the hands rest beside the hips or under the buttocks; it trains the lower abdominals and hip flexors.
How to do it
- Lie on the back, legs straight, hands beside the hips or under the buttocks, lower back pressed into the floor.
- Lift both legs 15-30 cm off the floor, feet pointed.
- Raise one leg to about 45 degrees while the other lowers toward the floor, then swap, in a continuous scissor rhythm.
- Keep the movement small and the back flat; if the lower back arches, lift the legs higher or shorten the set.
