Towel scrunch
Postureeasyrepstowel and chair
Sitting with a foot flat on a towel spread on a smooth floor, the toes curl to gather the towel toward the heel, then release; it strengthens the toe flexors and the small muscles of the arch.
How to do it
- Sit on a chair with a towel spread flat on a smooth floor; put one foot on the near end, heel down, hands on the thighs.
- Keeping the heel down, curl the toes to grip the towel and pull it toward you.
- Relax and spread the toes, then grip again, gathering the towel under the foot a little at a time.
- Gather the whole towel, flatten it out and repeat 3-5 times per foot. Add a small weight on the far end when it is easy.
