Wall toe raises
Postureeasyrepsno equipment
Standing with the back and buttocks against a wall and the heels about 15 cm in front of it, the front of both feet, toes included, lifts as far as is comfortable while the heels stay on the floor and the knees stay straight, then lower slowly; it trains the muscles at the front of the shin that help support the arch and control how the foot lands.
How to do it
- Stand with your back and buttocks against a wall, feet hip-width apart, heels about 15 cm from the wall, arms by your sides.
- Keeping the heels on the floor and the knees straight, pull the front of both feet up toward your shins as high as is comfortable; all the toes lift together with the foot.
- Hold 1 second at the top, then lower the feet slowly over about 2 seconds without letting them slap down.
- Do 15 reps, 2-3 sets. Keep all the toes relaxed and straight rather than curled or gripping. This is general exercise information, not medical advice; persistent foot pain needs a podiatrist or physiotherapist.
