Prone resting pose: legs relaxed and apart with toes turned out and heels in, forearms folded and stacked in front of the head with the forehead resting on them, upper chest slightly off the floor.

How to do it

  1. Lie face down, legs straight about hip-width or wider, toes turned out and heels turned in, tops/inner edges of the feet on the floor.
  2. Fold the arms in front: each hand holds the opposite upper arm or elbow, forearms stacked on the floor in front of the shoulders.
  3. Rest the forehead on the forearms; draw the elbows in just enough that the upper chest lifts slightly while lower ribs and belly stay down.
  4. Whole body relaxed, eyes closed, breathing into the belly.
