Legsintermediatetimedno equipment

Balancing on one bent leg, push off and bound sideways to land on the opposite foot, with the free leg swinging behind the landing leg and the torso leaning forward with arms swinging across, then bound back the other way.

How to do it

  1. Stand on the right foot in a quarter squat, hips back, torso leaning forward about 30 degrees, left foot off the floor behind the right ankle.
  2. Push off the right foot and bound sideways to the left, swinging the arms across the body toward the left.
  3. Land on the left foot (ball first, then the whole foot), knee and hip bending to absorb the landing; the right leg swings behind the left calf and hovers without touching (beginners may tap the toes).
  4. Pause briefly to stabilise, then push off the left foot and bound back to the right, landing on the right foot.
  5. Landing knee stays over the foot, chest up, gaze forward.
